Neo-Nazis heap praise on Chapman Brothers as new exhibition opens

by Artnose art critic, Saint Bernard von Berenson

Prominent neo-Nazi groups from all over Europe have expressed their profound gratitude at being linked to the British art world's comedy double act The Chipmonk Brothers after the brothers, Joke and Donuts Chipmonk opened a new exhibition of their waxwork Nazi mannikins at London's famous Weiss Cube Gallery (left).

"We're delighted that the boys have finally come out and aligned themselves with decent upstanding far-right White Suprematist Nazi groups like ourselves," said Niklas Goering von Serota-Ribbentrop of the far-right think tank Das Neue Bankshite. "We knew they hated art after they ruined a rare, pristine series of Goya etchings, but now they've really soared to new heights of middle-class tosh."

The gallery's director, Jaylo von Joplinghausen defended the brothers' new work, insisting that their hyper-realistic Madame Tussauds-like creations are helping to draw public attention to the benefits of Aryan ideology and the ignorance of pinko Liberals.

Standing on the balcony of his Albert Speer-designed Reichsgalerie on the Unter den Hoxton, Mr Joplinghausen addressed a crowd of several hundred thousand supporters. Eyeballs bulging, saliva dribbling down his chin, he screamed, "Ich bin bonkers! Heil Serota!"

Back in the studio, Joke Chipmonk was scribbling felt-pen cartoon figures all over an original Leonardo Codex. Asked why he was defacing another priceless work of art, he burst into tears. "Snot fair! What time's Doctor Who on?"

Meanwhile, his brother was busy spreading foie gras onto a rusk. "Daddy said we had to make paté for the bourgeoisie," said the disillusioned young dauber.
